Fashion Sessions '08

Last night was brilliant fun! Native Lounge did a smashing job setting up the place for Fashion Sessions. Top Brass Productions had a packed house all around . . . . Sold Out!

It was a crazy long day for the REVEAL salon team but the results were well worth it. The models looked glamorous and Melanie Renee's new collection was a huge success. If you haven't seen her new collection it will be premiering on her new website in the winter.

Here are a few pictures from last night. If you get a chance go next thursday and check out the other Fashion Sessions happening till the end of October.

Native Lounge Fashion Show

On thursday, September 25th and October 16th Native Lounge will be the place to be. They will be hosting a fantastic fashion show with designer Melanie Renee and LuLu Luxe Clothing. Reveal salon will be completing each models look with

fashion forward hair and makeup. There will VIP's all around, so by your ticket early and reserve a table for you and your friends.

Inspiration

I wanted to share with you one of my main inspirations - Tim Walker.  His images are magically reminensent of children's nursery rhymes but with a mature creativity.  I savor each one of his images as if it were a priceless painting.  He has such attention to detail, creating one image that tells a hundred pages of a story.  His images remind us all of that youthful, bright eyed, rosy faced child we once were.

To have the opportunity to create images like these is a dream of mine . . . . .

What better way to celebrate CCM®’s 5th birthday and the 50th anniversary of Hearst Castle® than with a high-fashion photo shoot? The September 2008 “Golden Age of Hearst” cover and feature article is a tribute to the glamour and allure of the Central Coast’s most treasured historical landmark.





Inspiration

We created an old-Hollywood-meets-modern-day-glamour look by mixing contemporary styles with classic flapper fashions from the ’20s and ’30s. Fun and flashy flapper accessories like turbans and peacock feathers (and famous actresses of the time like Greta Garbo and Louise Brooks) were our primary sources of inspiration.

Our dear friend Cameron Ingalls of Ingall's Photography has started a blog page called "The Wedding Standard" that profiles different professionals in the wedding industry on the Central Coast.  We think it is such a brilliant idea because it gives brides an honest, non advertisement opinion of who is great to work with on your special day.
